It's winter on Matthews Lake, but this is the time to start planning for the spring. And in particular, for those who are participating in the (soon to be approved) Shoreline Restoration Grant which provides funds for shoreline buffers to protect lake quality and control erosion. During our Labor Day weekend meeting, Linda Anderson, from Washburn County Lakes & River Association (WCLRA) who did restoration on her own property on Shell Lake, shared information about why and how along with plant ideas.
